In some cases we were that person, in others we had to work with that person which caused us to question our tenure at the company. King Saul had blown it. He had not revered God as he should by inappropriately offering a sacrifice. ‘ It seemed like a good idea at the time’, is often said when things don’t work out the way we thought.
